Climate Of Hunter

Scott's only record from the 80's. It makes as much sense to start here as anywhere else in his body of work (except The Drift, I guess). Really sparse, reverby arrangements; The synths are reminiscent of some other minimal 80s stuff, but the slow mutations in the chord cycles really transform it into a completely different breed of pop. Tears for Fears probably liked Scott Walker a lot and especially this record. Highly recommended if you think Brian Eno or David Bowie are geniuses, because they think Scott is a genius.
